I Need Some Windows Advice

My new laptop will be arriving soon and it's coming with Vista. *crickets*

Yes, I know. I'm not quite sure what to think about it either. I have 3Gigs of Ram which isn't too shabby but I can NOT have a computer that runs slow.

Any one out there with any experience that can give me some advice? Should I give Vista a shot or switch back to XP right off the bat so I can get up and running?

Majestic Misty Mountains

As I was driving home from clinic this morning, it was a torrential down pour. But I was driving in the foot hills on the East side of the city and it was SO beautiful if Mr. Magoo hadn't been in the car, I would have pulled over and taken pictures right there on the freeway.

It looked like a scene from Jurassic Park or something from a Mountain Side Tropical Forrest. It was majestic!

Since I was at a higher altitude, I was up in the clouds so it was sort of foggy and misty. Everything was SO green since it has been raining a ton lately. I actually haven't been able to stop thinking about how pretty it was.

These pictures were the only ones that I could find searching the Internet that come close to even being similar.

Let's not forget Criminal Minds. I love that show too. I finally got to see the season finale last night. I hate when there are major cliff hangers that make you wait all summer until you get to see what happened! I was going to keep watching anyways! MAN!

My Favorite Shows

I love summer but I hate that all my favorite shows have ended. I hate that I have to wait until next fall to find out what happens next on Grey's Anatomy or House. And don't even get me started on the fact that I didn't even get to enjoy 24 this year or half of my other favorites due to the long and drawn out strike.

But I will say this... If something bad happens now that Meredith and Derick are back together and it doesn't turn out... I am going to be P.O.'d!!!! So very upset!

A New Weight Loss Option?

So I just watched a segment on my local news talking about how a diet clinic nearby is offering a new diet option of pregnancy hormone shots (HCG) to help people lose weight. Both men and women have lost weight doing it. They are one a very strict 500 calorie a day diet but because of the shots they don't feel hungry or over eat. They lose about 1/2 to 1 pound a day!

The Dr at the clinic even said that afterwards the hypothalamus is reset to make is think a lower body weight is "normal". To help the body stay at a lower weight.

Read about the story here and tell me what you think. I am very interested. I have been really sick with what my Dr's are think is some sort of Auto Immune Disease since I had my last baby and I just can not lose this weight!! At my last appointment we even talked about Cushings Disease. So if I can't get a diagnosis and start losing weight... I would TOTALLY be interested in giving this a shot. I feel so desperate at this point.

What do you think? (About the HCG weight lose option, not about me feeling desperate.)

Week Number 117

1) What is the worst experience you have ever had in a car? I was in a car accident... a Jeep roll over to be more specific. I remember the entire thing. It was VERY traumatic.

2) Who is your personal hero, and why? I actually have several. And right now I really can't narrow it down to just one so I'm going to have to skip this question. Pretty Lame. I know.

3) Name the one thing you have done that has caused you the most guilt during your lifetime. The one thing that has caused me the most guilt caused me quilt for a reason and I really don't want to share it with the world... or rehash it with myself. Somethings are better left in the past.

4) What is the most important duty or chore you perform regularly? Giving my son his daily anti-rejection medicines so he doesn't rejection his new heart.
